Following each IKF tournament, an all-star team of standout performers is selected, and the recently concluded 2018 Asia-Oceania Korfball Championships was no exception. It gives us here at Korfball Australia great pride in congratulating our own Grace Cullen for making that team.
Despite being our youngest player in Japan, Grace went on to be our top scoring girl, with 17 goals (Australia’s top scoring player overall if you discount penalties). It wasn’t just with her scoring that Grace impacted matches either, with her stellar defense and assisting causing match-up nightmares for opposition teams. Grace’s understanding and connection with division partner (and roommate) Bethan Channing proved to be a potent one-two punch which was unstoppable, even against the best sides.
Congratulations Grace, this is a well deserved honour, and we look forward to seeing you at many tournaments to come.
Heartiest congratulations to Grace and to everyone who has supported Grace – her team mates in the Squad, the coach and managers and of course her family and her korfball club.
