Following the reforming of both the Open and Youth Squads, both with tournaments later this year, it’s time to begin the process of building out the management team of each Squad. To this end, Korfball Australia is calling for expressions of interest from those individuals interested in becoming team managers within each squad.

There is no defined scope to what this role may entail, nor if it is a role to be held by an individual or shared amongst a team. Korfball Australia and the appointed coaches are more than happy to work with individuals in a way that suits them, to the betterment of each of the National Squads. This is a potentially multi-faceted role, and can include administrative tasks, liaising with Korfball Australia and/or tournament organisiers as well as the appointed coaches, ordering and collecting uniforms, and many other vital jobs. There is no minimum time commitment, nor any maximum. Additionally, there are no required skills or experience required, but any unique skills you have will absolutely be made use of.

There is no obligation to travel with the squads to Malaysia (Youth, August) or Taiwan (Open, October), although this is certainly an option and a requirement we will be looking for someone to fill. There are, however, numerous ways to contribute to the success of the National program domestically. As with all roles within Korfball, all efforts and travel will unfortunately have to be at the managers expense, with reimbursement of incidental costs potentially available.

If you have any interest in such a role, please fill in the expression of interest form below.
