We went down to brekkie at 8 to fuel up for our blockbuster against Belgium. We had a quick team meeting before hopping on the bus to go to the stadium. We got to catch some of the Netherlands Turkiye game, it was our first time getting to see the Netherlands play in person. With a quarter to go, we headed down to the change rooms to get ready for game 1 of the tournament. The Belgium team were on another level and they didn’t let up the pressure the entire game, we unfortunately went down by 40+ goals. It was a massive learning opportunity and a lot to take away from the game.

Building on our learning opportunities, we decided as a team to hang back at the stadium to watch the games being played. We got to witness a wide variety of Korfball and a sneak peak at our future opponents. After the conclusion of India vs Catalonia, we participated in the opening ceremony which was a blast. This was followed swiftly by our second favourite game to play together, Hackey sack. Our entertaining Hackey sack display in the car park drew in players from teams Turkiye and Chinese Taipei, safe to say we all had a blast together hackeying the sack and bonding over our favourite game, Korfball.

We headed back to the hotel for dinner before going back to the rooms for some rest and bedtime.
