Following the IKF’s release of the list of referees and jury officials for the 2019 World Korfball Championships, Korfball Australia is proud to congratulate Luke Rosie on being selected as a referee for the tournament. This selection comes on the back of Luke being selected to referee the 2018 Asia-Oceania Korfball Championship final, and is the latest in a long list of refereeing achievements.

Luke is a highly experienced referee, having been refereeing at U23 and Open level international tournaments since 2011. Luke has also been a constant in South Australia’s State League and at National Championships for many years, on top of his playing, coaching and administrative commitments.

The 2019 World Korfball Championships marks the ninth international tournament Luke has refereed in, and also his third senior World Korfball Championships. This will see Luke head to Durban as one of the most experienced International Referees in the pool of twelve referees.

The 2019 Korfball World Championships is to be held in Durban, South Africa, from August 1-10. We wish Luke all the best for the tournament to come, and we’re pleased to see his had work and dedication to an under-appreciated craft paying off.
