Following the conclusion of the pool matches at the 2018 Asia-Oceania Korfball Championships, the match-ups for the cross-over finals are now known. The full schedule of cross-over finals can be found below.
As Australia finished second in Pool A, Australia will play off against China, Pool B’s top spot winner, for a spot in the Gold Medal match. This match will be played at 5:30 PM ACST on August 3rd, and can be watched live on the AOKC2018 LOC YouTube channel. The winner of this match will join the winner of Chinese Taipei vs Hong Kong in the Gold Medal match.
After the cross-over finals, Australia will have a rest day, before playing off for a medal on August 5th. Matches for minor ranking positions will be held on the 5th. More information on all these matches, including the schedule, will be announced as it comes to hand. In addition, the National Team Hub will be updated as results from matches are known. This bracket of matches means Australia is guaranteed a top 4 spot at the 2018 Asia-Oceania Korfball Championships. In addition, this also means that Australia has officially qualified for the 2019 IKF World Championships.
