The date for the National Club Championships is fast approaching, and the organisation of the tournament is continuing to progress behind the scenes. As previously announced, the tournament will be held at Eagle Stadium, Werribee, Victoria, over the June long weekend. We’re now able to share some of these exciting updates:

Nomination Forms
Nomination forms have been sent to all Korfball Australia licence holders, and have been distributed to all clubs. If you’re keen to play in the showpiece event of the National Korfball calendar, make sure to get in touch with your club. If you’re not sure who or where your local club is, or if you’re interested in joining a club for the weekend, make sure to contact us.

Travel Incentives
Thanks to Korfball Australia’s not-for-profit status, we have been able to partner with Qantas to provide some benefits for our members on Korfball-related travel! Benefits include:

  • 6% off the base fare of selected flights
  • 250 bonus Frequent Flyer points for each traveller
  • 20% off Qantas Club membership

Each traveller using this program also helps support Korfball Australia, with all bookings helping build a Frequent Flyer points balance which can then be used to support National Team programs and the like. For each 100 points you earn for travelling, Korfball Australia earns an additional 20 points, all at no cost to you! The more this program is used, the greater the benefits available too, with up to 10% off selected flights and 5% of Red e-deals ultimately available.

To join, simply fill out the form below, and wait 24 hours for your details to be added to the account.

To book your flights through the program, once you’ve been added, log into the Qantas website and ensure the toggle is set as per the image below. If there are any questions or concerns, please contact us.

    After Party
A popular event around the National Club Championships weekend is always the traditional after party. This year is sure to be no exception, with the after party booked in for The Park, Werribee, on Sunday night.

The venue is close to Eagle Stadium, and close to public transport, ensuring it’s easy for everyone to both enjoy themselves and travel safely. The booking includes a 120-person capacity function room, with a fireplace and alfresco area, as well as music from the resident DJ. Tickets are $27, and includes entry as well as a grazing table, and plenty of pizza and canapes. For more information, and to buy tickets, check out the After Party event page.

We’re looking forward to seeing the Korfball Australia community come together for the first time in a few years. Stay tuned for more updates as they come to hand.
