Korfball Australia would like to congratulate Megan Marks on being selected to referee at the upcoming U21 World Championships, to be held in Budapest, Hungary. Megan is a highly credentialed referee, having been a constant in South Australia’s State League and at National Championships for many years, often refereeing the A Grade finals in both competitions. Megan is no novice on the international stage either, having refereed at both the 2011 and 2015 U23 Asia Oceania Korfball Championships.

Being selected to referee at the U21 World Championships is a huge accomplishment, on many fronts. The World Championships is obviously a step up from the Continental Championships Megan has previously refereed, and to be selected is a sign of how highly regarded Megan is by the IKF. Additionally, it is rare for referees to be selected for tournaments in which their home nation is not competing in, particularly for European tournaments with easy access to an abundance of high quality referees, but Megan has still been selected. This is again a sign of the regard in which Megan is held by the IKF.

We wish Megan all the best, and we look forward to following her as she continues her refereeing career.
