Due to planning and logistical difficulties, the previously announced location and dates for the 2018 Korfball Australia National Club Championships are no longer feasible. However, all is not lost, with Korfball Australia pleased to announce that the Championships will now be held in Adelaide, over the October Long Weekend, which is aimed at making travel easier for interstate teams.

The tournament will be held at Wayville Stadium, which has played host to the National Club Championships successfully in the last, most recently in 2016. The venue is extremely central, being on the fringes of the Adelaide CBD, and is well served by public transport, perfect for anyone staying in Adelaide for the weekend without transportation. The October Long Weekend surprisingly falls in September this year, meaning that the tournament will be played on the 29th and 30th of September. Full details, including a map of the venue location, can be found on the National Club Championships events page.

This is a busy weekend for sport in Australia, with the AFL and NRL Grand Finals also being played. Allowances will be made when scheduling the tournament to ensure that players in the National Club Championships can still watch these iconic events.

More information will be announced as soon as it comes to hand. We look forward to this National Club Championships being the biggest yet, and we urge all players to get behind what is the showpiece event of Korfball in Australia.
