Since the beginning of the year, the Korfball Australia Board has been working on plans to redevelop, revitalise and relaunch the National Team Program across all IKF age-groups. While the launch of this plan has been delayed due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the time has come to put this plan into action.
The first stage of the new era for the National Team Program is the appointment of the National Team Director. This newly created role will have ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the National Team Program, and will report directly to the Korfball Australia Board. As this is a newly created role, the exact scope of responsibilities will be defined in consultation with the successful applicant. It is expected that shortlisted applicants will be able to outline their proposals for the role during the interview process.
A preliminary role description, including a list of proposed responsibilities and suggested qualifications and experience, is below. Please note that this role is open to all applicants, and individuals with an involvement in elite level programs in other sports are encouraged to apply.
Applications must be submitted no later than June 15, 2020. An application form is available below. A cover page of up to a page, and a CV of up to two pages should be attached at time of application. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by June 22 to organise a video conference interview with the Korfball Australia Board.
