Following the most recent Korfball Australia Board meeting, Korfball Australia is pleased to announce that the 2018 National Club Championships will be held on the 20th and 21st of October, in New South Wales. This is the first time the National Club Championships have ventured to New South Wales, and is a positive sign for the national growth of the sport.

The tournament has also moved away from its traditional home during the June Long Weekend, in order to be played at the end of the season. The Korfball Australia Board feels that this gives the tournament the prestige it deserves, as the pinnacle and finale of the Korfball season, as opposed to being shoehorned between rounds of the various State based competitions. The date has also been selected in an attempt to avoid clashes with other major sporting events, such as the AFL and NRL Grand Finals.

More information, including exact locations, will be announced as soon as it comes to hand, which will coincide with nomination forms being sent to clubs. The early announcement of dates is aimed at ensuring clubs have the most possible time to prepare, in the hope that this Nationals will be our largest yet.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
