Perhaps somewhat surprising, at least based on historical results, is Chinese Taipei beating Belgium, and China beating Great Britain, while Australia were pushed hard by their Polish opponents. These results mean the final day of matches looks like this:

Australia takes on China at 8:30 PM ACST in the 5th place playoff. Regardless of the outcome, this is the highest result by an Australian team at a World Games, and is an amazing achievement. Chinese Taipei become the first non-European team to make a World Games final, congratulations are certainly due for that achievement. Additionally, all non-European nations are guaranteed to finish in the top 6, which is a fantastic milestone for the development of Korfball as a genuinely global sport.

As has been the case all tournament, all matches linked above, and from the National Team hub, have the live streaming links available. Make sure you tune in at 8:30 PM ACST and cheer on our Aussies!
