Korfball Australia would like to congratulate Luke Rosie on being selected as the referee for the Gold Medal match at the 2018 Asia-Oceania Korfball Championships. This is an incredible achievement, and is deserved recognition for Luke’s many years of experience, and his exceptional performance over several international tournaments.

As well as being a huge personal achievement for Luke, it is also a momentous occasion for Australian Korfball. This marks the first time since neutral referees have been appointed for matches that an Australian referee has been given the whistle for a tournament final. This also continues a boom period for Australian referees, following on from Megan Marks being appointed Assistant Referee for the final of the recent U21 World Championships, the first time an Australian referee had been on court for an international tournament final.

Congratulations Luke, this is well deserved, and we know you’ll do yourself and Australia proud.
